Villa Gemelli - Holiday Let
Our
beautiful 3 bedroom villa is set in an acre of
land boasting olive, fig, hazelnut, chestnut and
an abundance of other fruit trees.
The villa is in the
quiet and secluded district of Lamacoppa, just 3km
from the picturesque hillside town of Ostuni, known
locally as the "White City".
The villa offers a good level of comfort for up
to six people whilst retaining the charm and rustic
features typical of the area. There is a lounge,
a new fitted kitchen complete with fridge freezer,
washing machine and dishwasher, a bathroom which
features a new Turkish steam shower, one double bedroom
and two other bedrooms with twin beds in each. Outside
there is a roof terrace, a covered veranda ideal
for eating Al-fresco style, a family sized barbecue
and a traditional working pizza oven with a further
outdoor table and chairs seating 6. Air-conditioning
and heating units are fitted throughout the villa.
Set in front of the villa is a 12m x 6m luxury swimming pool and Jacuzzi,
diving board and outside solar heated shower. Sun
loungers and parasols surround the pool on the terrace.
The pool is available for use from April to October
each year. For winter holidays why not take a cycling
break.
LocationPuglia, or Apullia
as it is sometimes known, is the heel of Italy's
boot and is bordered by two seas, the Adriatic to
the
East and the Ionian to the South. Italy's deep south
is little known to foreign visitors but those that
do visit are regarded with an unforgettable experience.
Uplifting natural beauty and a near tropical sea
combine with the strange conical-roofed stone houses,
the Trulli, unique to Puglia. The region is a food
and wine-lover's paradise, no matter how hard you
try, it is difficult to eat badly. A proportion
of Italy's fish is caught off the Puglian coast and
locally grown fruit and vegetables can be found on
many a street corner. In addition Puglia has 23 D.O.C.
wine regions, the best know being Salice Salentino.
The stunning town of Ostuni sits like a white beacon on three hills east of Martina Franca. The seemingly disordered tangle of narrow cobblestone streets recalls a north African Arab medina, an ideal place to get agreeably lost. There are a plethora of restaurants and bars just off the Piazza della Liberta, heading upwards towards the sombre brown stone of the 15th century Gothic Cathedral.
Villa Gemelli is
located near to many beaches, some with bars and
facilities, others with nothing but warm sea and
sand. It is important to understand that this side
of Italy’s coast line offers, small coves and
bays rather than long stretches of beach.
Rental Rates
The villa is available on a weekly basis only during
the seasons April to October. Long weekend lets are
